As an independent information consultant, Connie understands the importance of professional communities in advancing practice and providing advocacy.

• Connie recently concluded a term as President of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP).
• She was the recipient of the AIIP President’s Award in 2009 for her work to redesign AIIP’s website.
• Connie is a member of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) and a former Director of SLA’s Rocky Mountain Chapter.
• She developed a webinar series that earned the 2012 Outstanding Chapter Technology Programming Award from the SLA Information Technology Division.
• Connie also helped launch the Web 2.0 team of SLA’s Government Information Division.

Corrections volunteering:

• Connie is a member of the editorial board of the American Jail Association.
• Connie is an associate member of the Association of Women Executives in Corrections, where she chairs the technology committee.
• Connie is also a member of the American Correctional Association and the Colorado Jail Association.
